A Subaru battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its main purpose is to start the Subaru engine.
Once the Subaru engine is operating, electricity for the car is provided by the alternator.
Commonly, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to discharge a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, as well as the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a total discharge.
